Originally from Scotland, Alberto Fraser lives and works in Milan, where he founded his design studio in 1989. He holds a degree in Architecture and a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, Fulbright Scholar.
Fraser has collaborated with companies including Stilnovo, Artemide, Salviati, L.A.M.P., Coema Plast, Ariston, and Ray-Ban, contributing to a wide range of industrial and domestic products defined by technical precision and design clarity.
His research on light as a medium of communication and spatial definition has guided projects such as Lights of the Future (Frankfurt, 2008) and the permanent illumination of Palazzo delle Stelline in Milan.
He is a member of the Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (A.D.I.), the European Bureau of Industrial Design, and the Industrial Design Society of the United States.
